Description
A beautiful 1930’s art deco style dining table in solid oak and oak veneer, with a chunky base and 2 pull-out sections. The veneered central panels had been ruined, so we’ve painted these sections black to give a more contemporary feel. The black panels are framed by a thin border in a subtle mahogany colour, and the rest of the top has been stripped and re-finished in a clear oil-wax mix. To keep the price down we’ve left the base as it was and just given it a clean up, so there is a slight difference in colour of the finish between the base and the top. There is beautiful carved detail to the base.
The table is in very good vintage condition, with the usual marks of character as you would expect with a piece nearly 100 years old. There is a slightly curved area to the edge of one of the extending sections, which can be seen in the final photo.Dimensions: Unextended the table is 90.5 cm2. Each pull out section adds 30 cm to the length, so fully extended the table is 150.5 cm. It is 74.5 cm tall.
